Girard Perregaux Gyromatic

The Gyromatic was the marketing term for an automatic movement used by GP. It was employed for many years and seen in date and non-date movements. The jewel count increased over time, with 39 jewel appearing on the dial in the 1950s. The dial count was often changed to allow lesser jewel movements to be imported into the USA with reduced taxes.
