Rotary Aquaplunge

A highly collectible quality Swiss 666ft diver with interesting features like the 13-24 hr markers. broad arrow hands (on first version) and rotating black bezel. First seen circa 1960 in non-date version and later with date.

Radium dials normally have large broad arrow hands and are non- date. The later versions can have red hands especially with the date version, which is a quickset movement. Later date models also have a large screw down bullet crown similar to Technos SkyDiver and Titus Calypsomatic.

This model was also sold, possibly under licence with brand names Iaxa. Baylor. Lator, Difor, LePhare and others.

Note that the change of dial and removal of Rotamatic text seems to coincide with the hands changing from broad arrow to a straight format (sometimes red). A very early radium non-date version has been seen with a red large arrow hour hand.

  • Swiss-made stainless steel case with screwback engraved 666ft and Aquaplunge
  • AS1700 automatic movement (non date)
  • 36mm width exc crown
  • 19mm lug width
  • domed crystal
  • Black dial with 24hr markers, signed Aquaplunge on later models
  • Lumed hands and dial (radium or tritium)/ Signed T Swiss T on post 1964 dials.
  • Broad arrow radium hands and smaller pointer versions on tritium models
  • Signed R crown on non-date and larger unsigned crown on later versions
