The Movado Ref 12717, is believed to have been produced between 1936 and 1938. Unfortunately the current Movado brand, shares no affiliation to the original, and has no archive to access.  It is unique in that it is the only other Steel pilot watch that shares almost identical attributes to the famed IWC MK IX, a name 'coined' because some link it to being the precursor to the *[[DD IWC - International Watch Company]], and there after 1948 IWC MK 11.
