‘Denis Diver’ by ARDATH Watch Co. (Dreyfuss & Co., Swiss) from the 1960’s.
The 36mm [39mm counting the crown at 3h] stainless steel Aquastar-style case has screw back and rotating bezel. It houses an automatic ETA Cal. 2452 with date at 3h. There are several versions and different dial configurations including black and gold dial and differing handsets.
Date wheel is red, with magnifier under crystal. Dial is embossed logo with raised gilt lettering and gilt printing to rest. Dials can be radium (pre-1964) or tritium. Lug width 19mm.
The ReefGuard is a more ornate dial version with a diver illustration and now highly prized by collectors.
