This model featured the ‘super-quartz’ Calibre 185 movement – it uses the Dubois Depraz 2000 chronograph module mated with a quartz ETA 555 motor.
- Case material Steel. screw back. brushed finish, signed crown, knurled pushers
- Case diameter 36,5 mm
- Thickness 13 mm

- Crystal Mineral Glass
- Bracelet with lock, brushed

Early pre-1985 models have Heuer logo only. After 1985 the TAG logo appears on dial and bracelet clasp.
There are a number of variations to this range of 2000 Heuer chronographs. Most notable are:
- Different bezel - a tachmeter version in black or 0-60 minute in black or white
- Different case finish - bead blasted or polished
- Dial colour - gold, white or black
- Dial change of wording from Chronograph to Professional
